PORTA VOGIE can follow up in this average handicap, primarily at the main expense of Kinkeel and Tanners Court. The selection has an 8lb higher mark to contend with this afternoon, following an easy win at Huntingdon. He seemed to relish the ground on that occasion and with conditions in his favour today and as an unexposed chaser then he should run well. Nelson is capable on his day but his profile is too hit and miss to recommended him, Space Star looks fairly-handicapped but his strike-rate has to be a cause for concern, whilst Runshan is a course and distance winner but was well-held last time out. Tanners Court is now 13 but his second to Inthejungle at Plumpton earlier in the month suggests he still retains his enthusiasm, and along with course winner Aitch Doubleyou he is not ruled out. The consistent Kinkeel has a lovely racing weight and is sure to give his backers a good run for their money despite this new mark of 80, however the tentative vote goes to the in-form Porta Vogie.
