Verdict

Psychiatrist was in good form when last seen, winning his last two starts at Warwick and Fontwell and he has to be considered on his first outing since April 2008 but CALL ME MAX has plenty in hand on official BHA ratings and he looks worth supporting in this grade with the main danger rated as Thistle. George Baker's gelding has been well held of late but this represents a big drop in class and he has to be considered in this lowly company. Don McCain's Villochely ran better in a novices' hurdle over course and distance last time in May and he has claims back in a seller, while Last Pioneer ran well over course and distance in a seller last month and he looks the pick of Richard Ford's two runners ahead of Layed Back Rocky. Corum drops into a seller for the first time in his career and could be of interest but it is hard to get away from Call Me Max. Eoin Doyle's gelding has been running well in better company than this over hurdles and on the flat of late and, dropped into a seller for the first time, he has an obvious chance.
