Bewery Man was good value for his Sedegfield success in December but he disappointed at Catterick subsequently and, having been raised 9lbs since then, looks best watched with a better bet looking to be the in-form NAUGHTY BY NATURE, who gets the vote ahead of Pelo Du Bief. The last mentioned ran better here last time when chasing home Youngstown a reproduction of that form would see him go close. Mars Rock similarly showed improved form on his most recent start and a 3lb rise for that effort is perfectly fair, while Capal Dubh Alainn is lightly raced and looks to be going the right way but does need to improve again. Martin Keighley's Badly Bruised looks harshly handicapped for his first start in this grade, while David Pipe's Quiny Boy has given little sign of encouragement so far. Preference then is for Naughty By Nature, who has shown much improved form for Rebecca Curtis of late, winning two races at Bangor and falling when with every chance in between those efforts in a race at Wincanton. A 3lb rise for the latest of those successes looks perfectly fair and he is taken to make it three wins from four starts here.
