Verdict

With a mark of 79 and the highest rated of those already in possession of a mark DOUBLE ACT looks the best choice as a winner with Bartica and Whotsit looking the main danger. The selection is on the hunt for a hat-trick here after taking two similar races in his last two efforts. Hold up tactics were applied for the latest success, which will ideally suit this track, and he's running true to his mark which holds him in high regard here. Whosit sprang a 40/1 surprise over course and distance a week ago. The dramatic turnaround in form may have been brought about by the application of headgear and with blinkers used again he'll also be looking to make his bid for glory from behind the leaders. Bartica has 15lbs of improvement to find based on official ratings to beat Double Act. Although his own form as been moderate the lines keep getting franked and a career best will have him close. Michelle was solid enough on debut to show ability while Crown Affair has bits and pieces to be in with a shout so with all in with at least a chance we give Double Act the best chance of all.
