It will be interesting to see if there is any market support for the newcomer Crystal B Good but he has an American dirt-bred pedigree and may do better at Southwell so preference is for SAINTS BAY, who gets the vote with Quick Single rated the best of the rest. The selection has only had the one start so far but Richard Hannon's filly ran with plenty of promise when a close third behind Avoir Choisi over seven furlongs at Kempton last month. She should appreciate the drop in trip today and, in a poor contest, looks the one to beat. Sir Mark Prescott's Brett Vale has given little sign of encouragement from two starts and looks best watched, while Thoosa may do better stepped up to six furlongs having been well beaten in two starts over the minimum trip. Gingko Lady makes her British debut for Jim Boyle today but is hard to recommend having been well held in three starts in Ireland. Quick Single is gradually slipping down the handicap and has to be considered back in a maiden but just two placed efforts from nine starts is a concern and preference is for Saints Bay.
