A wide open handicap here and as usual in these types of events jockeyship is all important and with this in mind the principals look to be Lightning Star, Sovereign State, and Tiger Frog and we will take a chance on Lightening Star. The selection is from a yard in good form and he won well last time out when defeating Its Wallace. He has one of the best jockeys in the race and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Sovereign rates the main danger on his latest victory over Prince Among Men. That form has since been franked but he will find this tougher under his penalty. Tiger Frog is another worthy of respect on his best form but he has two ways of running so can not be backed with any confidence. Mister Chisum is on a handy mark and could go well at a price but he is another that is far from reliable. Of the remainder Wild Power is from a shrewd yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we return to Lightning Star.
