A competitive contest gets Proceedings underway and many can be given a chance on their best form but the principals look to be Kristoffersen, Native Chancer and Alpine Fox and the confident vote is given to Kristoffersen. The selection has won his last two races in good style and although he has a double penalty for those wins he looks a progressive type and under conditions that suit he is taken to give the weight all round. Native Chancer rates the main danger on his latest third behind Buena Vista. This looks easier and he should be closely monitored in the market. Alpine Fox is another worthy of respect on his best form but he may need the run after a 583 day absence. Text has the ability to go close but was very disappointing last time so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Hermatige Court is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but he may be seen to better effect over a longer trip and for the winner we return to Kristoffersen.
