Verdict

CARTIER OPERA is a nominal suggestion in an open race where Alfatrix and Intense Suspense are amongst those that could go well. Cartier Opera's case is hardly watertight and rests on the possibility that his trainer can eke out a few pounds of improvements at a track where her horses are worth following. Certainly his recent efforts in the form book aren't much to write home about but it's possible that he may have needed the runs. Intense Suspense had discovered the winning habit between the flags before making a winning return over hurdles but he has changed hands since disappointing in July. Alfatrix lacks a recent run but proved to be a relatively consistent performer and should find a weak race such as this within his grasp at some stage. Won More Night represents an in-form yard so is considered in a race where few boast solid credentials but a chance is taken that this is the time to side with Cartier Opera.
