FLEMISH INVADER failed to justify market support at Perth but can make amends here by getting the better of Giolla De and Ballygalley Bob. Like many from the yard, Flemish Invader was pitched into handicap company for his chase bow and he was well backed to get the better of some experienced campaigners. Ultimately, a couple of mistakes proved costly but this smaller field will suit and he can set the record straight. Giolla De has only managed to get his head in front on a couple of occasions but he was well supported on debut for this yard only to fall before the race had really got underway. He's been given plenty of time off and may have more to offer for his current connections. Ballygalley Bob is a thorough stayer and scored on his only visit to the track and should go well but it's possible that he may prefer an even stiffer test. Harris Bay is well handicapped but hasn't proved easy to catch right whilst Manbow and Mandingo Chief have both had their problems. Aberdeen Park has been in good form over hurdles and is worth considering on her chase bow given her yard's good strike rate at this track and she does have some course form. However, she doesn't appeal as an obvious improver now chasing unlike Flemish Invader.
