Tanzanite Dawn was a wide margin winner at Folkestone last time and is taken to follow up in the conclusion to the card, with Shalati Princess, Paynestown Lad and Mooresini all likely to get involved. The selection put some ordinary form behind her after a 10 month lay-off and took a novices' handicap contest on soft ground by 18 lengths. Although not a strong contest she could do no more than win as she did and looks capable of following up in an ordinary affair. Shalati Princess is still a maiden after 26 starts and has shown no signs of breaking her duck in recent outings, but on some of her old form she is clearly capable of making the frame. Paynestown Lad won a soft ground Leicester selling handicap hurdle in November but was unable to match that effort under a penalty last time and looks exposed, while Mooresini was not completely disgraced behind the in-form Lescar's Lad at Folkestone last time but if he improves sufficiently to win this it will be a surprise, and preference is for Tanzanite Dawn to follow up.
