In depth

Verdict

Evelith Forest looks unopposable and he should be capable of taking care of What A Scientist and Coorbawn Vic. The bookmakers are likely to be asking for odds about Phillip Hobbs charge and on official figures, he should win this barring accidents. What A Scientist is stepped up in trip this afternoon. He was comprehensively put in his place by Barbers Shop on his most recent start and looks booked for a place at best. Coorbawn Vic sets the benchmark from a formbook perspective and he is likely to plod home in his own time at this level. Parakeet did attract some support on debut at big odds so it would be no surprise to see him run a solid race under the circumstances. The presence of Evelith Forest looks to have scared off any meaningful opposition and we seek not to oppose.
