Verdict

BROOK is the most unexposed of this field as a five-year-old and if he can repeat the level of his Exeter win in late March over Umberto D'Olivate, then he'd be the one to beat. Things didn't quite pan out for the Pipe inmate the last day and in the circumstances he did well to finish as close as he did, also at Exeter, when just under a nine-length fourth to Call The Detective over 3m. He's travels well through his races on a going day and is preferred to Gamain. The latter has been circling Fakenham on his last three starts but ran a solid second here last December and can usually be relied upon to run his race. Orby's Man remains relatively unexposed over fences and could take a hand along with the consistent Reblis.
