Colline de Fleurs gets a narrow verdict over Philomena, with Ceoperk, Milanshan and Mrs Fizziwig perhaps best of the rest. Not too many can be seriously fancied in this mares' only affair, and on latest evidence it should rest between the first two mentioned, with preference for Colline de Fleurs. Jim Old's six-year-old found all bar Senorita Rumbelita too good at Hereford in February, and the latter has since gone on to greater success in Grade 2 company at Sandown. With that in mind, connections will be shocked and disappointed if Colline de Fleurs cannot add to her useful bumper form by opening her account over timber today. Philomena showed her well being when making a winning debut over timber at Fontwell 11 days ago, beating the race-fit Cemgraft. That was her first outing since she landed a bumper at Exeter in May 2004, and provided that she does not suffer the dreaded 'bounce' effect, she should go well, with her rider able to offset the penalty by claiming a handy seven-pounds. Of the rest, Ceoperk makes some appeal as she will be staying on well at the finish, while Milanshan is best watched on her debut under rules. Mrs Fizziwig needs to get her jumping together, and really this should be the right opportunity for Colline de Fleurs to quickly get back to winning ways.
