Verdict

It's rare to find a beginners' chase divided and this looks a good opportunity for SAM KING, who finished third in what looked a better renewal a year ago. Ted Walsh's charge has had a couple of recent runs over hurdles and should be spot-on for his return to fences. Statistical has only shown moderate form over hurdles but he has a chaser's pedigree and hails from a trainer/jockey combination in top form. Mister Butler won a handicap hurdle at Bellewstown a couple of weeks ago but has failed to get round in three of four starts over fences and finished tailed off in the other. Ri An Rian made a promising start over the bigger obstacles at Downpatrick in May and though running a shocker at Tramore a fortnight later that can't have been his form.
