Verdict
Cotton Club has shown enough on both hurdling starts to suggest that he can land a small summer hurdle for a yard which places inmates with such precision. This may well be his day but HOOVER FEVER displayed notable improvement on his second start when the only one to trouble the heavily-backed Ballydun Oscar and receives plenty of weight here when the 10lb claim of his conditional pilot is factored in. He should continue to progress and is awarded the vote. Royal Chieftain, back in third spot that day, and Push The Tempo, a winner of a bumper last time in the style of a future stayer, are next best with the latter selected for shortlist inclusion.
