      Verdict

      Simannka wasn't beaten far on fast going here and looked to have a bright chance at Galway last week but couldn't handle Now Or Never and was beaten over five lengths. SANTA MONICA showed enough in her first two starts to be sent into Group 3 company at Leopardstown where she belied her 50/1 starting price with a very good run. Further progress can see her take care of Special Focus, who finished just behind her in that latter event but had done better when facing softer going earlier. Bridgets Fable may prove best of the newcomers as her dam has plenty of pace in her pedigree.
