UK raiders have won three of the last four so it's no surprise to see a strong contingent this time around. Bob Cowell has two entries with Iffranesia just preferred to Speed Hawk as she finished in front of him when runner-up in a similar contest at Chantilly in June. Stuart Williams isn't known for wasting journeys so the presence of Cordial is interesting and he's generally performed with credit at this sort of level. But Paul Midgley's veteran Monsieur Joe looks best of the raiding party as he remains in fine shape having finished a close second in a York Listed contest before coming to Ireland for a Group 2 at the Curragh in which he showed his usual good pace. He'll make a bold bid to gain the 11th victory of his career but finished behind DIKTA DEL MAR in that latter event and, as Tom Hogan's three-year-old won on very testing going when trained in France, she'll have conditions in her favour and should be good enough.
