Verdict

Hospital has been chasing but can revert to hurdling on a lower mark so should be respected. Voisey's Bay has been making good progress in maidens and impressed over the track and trip last time, though this is much tougher, while Park Ranger has had 20 starts over hurdles - none of them beyond the minimum trip. MR COSMOPOLITAN (NAP) has spent most of his time over fences and is still a maiden over timber but he ran a fine race at Sligo last month where he may have won but for being badly impeded. He looks on a decent enough mark to gain compensation. Disputed was behind him that day after scoring over this course and distance and looks held while the progressive Steel King hasn't been seen since finishing lame at Ballinrobe in September. Give Her Bach makes a quick reappearance after a fair effort at Tramore last week and she'd earlier landed a maiden over the minimum trip on this track.
