Verdict

VAL DE FERBET (NAP) was in good form over fences at this time last year but reverted to hurdles with a second place in a Grade 2 at Auteuil before pulling up in a Grade 1 there in June. He didn't reappear until last week when a close second to Tennis Cap and, with that under his belt, can get back to winning ways. Jennies Jewel finished a close second to Vroum Vroum Mag in a Grade 2 at Ascot before finding 2m5f too short at Warwick so she looks a major threat but Victory Mill will need to run much better than he did behind Urano at Clonmel and he takes a huge leap in distance. His stable companion Cogryhill has been competing at a very high level since winning a point, a bumper and a maiden hurdle though he's been well beaten and the staying chaser Colbert Station returns to action after almost a year off.
