Verdict
CHATHAM HOUSE RULE was leading when unseating his rider four out on his chasing bow at Punchestown but jumped well enough when runner-up to Domeday Book at Limerick. The third has won subsequently and Gordon Elliott's charge should add to his two victories over hurdles. Degenerous was the surprise winner of a handicap hurdle at Down Royal last August and makes his debut over fences here but Sweet Company has already had one run over fences, though was beaten a long way at Naas in November. Misdflight scored over timber in November though has been well beaten in two starts over the bigger obstacles but Stay With It showed a bit of promise on his chasing bow at Clonmel last month.
