In depth

Verdict

So Young once looked a brilliant prospect but injuries have curtailed his career and he was having his first start for almost three years at Leopardstown last month. He starts out over fences at an advanced age and may struggle against THE WINKLER, who can finally get off the mark over the bigger obstacles. He's finished runner-up four times in his six starts, and though no world-beater, jumps and stays well which should probably be enough. Hurricane Darwin hasn't had much experience over timber but looks a fine chaser in the making and couldn't have won more easily here last month while Na Trachtalai Abu has been in fine form over hurdles and hails from a family of staying chasers. Fine Article's close third behind No More Heroes at Punchestown in October would be good enough, though he hasn't made the expected progress.
