Lanas Turn could be the answer to an awful race, while Lara's Girl and Maureen's Lough are others to consider. Lanas Turn showed her first glimmer of form last time out, when beaten three lengths into fourth behind Maureen's Lough over this course and distance. Her sire Mister Bailey's acted with cut and so she should handle it okay, and with first time blinkers to sharpen up her act and a 13lb pull with Maureen's Lough she can score. The top weight can go well enough again, given her liking for conditions and the track, but Lara's Girl may well separate the pair. Ian Wood's filly showed a bit of form when third at Salisbury last time out and also receives weight from Maureen's Lough. She does have to prove she handles cut, but if doing so then she can be involved, but we take Lanas Turn to be the winner.
