Wychbury can take the maiden at the expense of Mutamared and Island Spell. Kevin Darley's mount finished behind Buy On The Red on his last visit and with that runner landing a decent Newmarket handicap on Saturday, there is every chance that Wychbury will start off a very short price favourite tonight. Mutamared has been turned over at short odds before and has now been unceremoniously booted out of the Godolphin camp and jettisoned to Marcus Tregoning. He does not find too much for pressure and may struggle to give the allowances to our selection. Island Spell is plenty exposed but ran a fair race in a Chester maiden. Blue Mariner is very lightly raced and must have had the odd training trouble or two. Swainsworld and Kentucky Express are watched in the market. Richard Fahey introduces an interesting type in Pure Vintage. While not a direct blood relation, he is owned by the connections responsible for the ultra-tough Vintage Premium. Wychbury looks a ready made winner and we will stick with him tonight.
