Verdict

Asian Tiger can make it third time lucky after finishing runner up on his two races to date, Monashee Prince and Pike Bishop may provide most danger. Richard Hannon's Rossini colt was just touched off by Brecon Beacon on his debut at York. On the strength of that effort he was made a warm favourite for a maiden at Goodwood last week but once again found one to good, 25/1 outsider Gortumblo, with today's rival Empires Ghoda back in third. It appeared to be quite a strong event and Asian Tiger should be good enough against these rivals. Monashee Prince does have winning form having landed a small Hamilton event. He also ran well in defeat at Chester behind the speedy Dance Night and looks the main threat to the selection. However watch for any market moves on the newcomers, particularly the Roger Charlton trained Pike Bishop who cost 62 thousand guineas and is related to some speedy two-year-olds. Richard Hannon though has a terrific record with his juveniles here and Asian Tiger is taken to add to his list.
