This type of race is always hard to predict but as New Morning showed a good attitude on her reappearance and, even though the ground ay be a little more lively than she would absolutely care for, she is fancied to cope with this trip much better than Ses Seline and Greek Star, who both appear to have a little to prove for one reason or another. The former as a suspect stayer over the distance, whereas the latter would have surely stayed with Sir Michael Stoute had he been showing encouraging signs over the winter. The same comments about the trip apply to Kedross, who is not really bred to appreciate middle distances but has been found wanting for toe over shorter in the past. This looks to be something of a final throw to find her optimum conditions and she is not hard to overlook today. Devito and Great Gidding, on the other hand, both have scope for improvement and are worth monitoring in the betting. However, they do not make as much appeal as New Morning and this sister to the top-class Islington looks to have been found a good opportunity to open her account in this company.
