A good handicap for the track and Court Of Appeal can get up the hattrick at the expense of Bourgeois and Annambo. Brian Ellison's stable has never been the most fashionable in the world but Court Of Appeal is reported to have improved significantly over the winter and it seems folly to oppose a horse on a roll. A winner at Chester and Catterick, he takes the beating here. Bourgeois has always had a touch of class about him and while he ran a solid race at Catterick ten days ago, he may need it just a little softer underfoot these days. Annambo had a difficult task on reappearance at Newmarket. Today is an easier race but he does look to have a high handicap mark for what he has achieved. A remark that equally applies to Sporting Gesture. Highland Games and Double Obsession have shown nothing this term while Glory Quest is difficult to catch right and looks outclassed here. Sovereign Dreamer was well beaten at York last time out. Court Of Appeal gets our nod.
