A number of those at the foot of the weights have been struggling for form so it may be best to focus on the form runners at the head of the handicap with REVUE PRINCESS the pick from Caranbola and Comptonspirit. Anything that Paul Hanagan rides is going to be worth a second look and that rings truer than ever when he teams up with a trainer as shrewd as Willie Haggas but Flouncing may need a little more help from the handicapper. Shaluca is worth a second look as she drops in trip given how keen she was at Newbury but it is not an obvious move given her pedigree. Comptonspirit never looked like losing last time and is in such good form that she must go well although the recent showers aren't ideal whereas they may not inconvenience Caranbola who was winning for the first time in almost two years when prevailing narrowly at Beverley. She remains well handicapped on her old form but marginal preference is for Tim Easterby's mare, Revue Princess, who looks to have found some improvement for being stepped back up to six furlongs recently and may still have a little more in the locker.
