In depth
Verdict
Kentucky Express was made favourite on his seasonal re-appearance at Catterick but could only finish fifth and he is worth opposing despite some promising efforts last season. Primarily is another who has shown ability and wasn¿t beaten all that far at Wolverhampton last time-he should be thereabouts. Athens is another to consider. He ran well on his debut behind Vancouver Gold at Southwell and will be a lot better for that run. Willie Haggas sends Alabama Twist up for his debut and he is an interesting newcomer. He is a son of Magic Ring and a half brother to Rum Shot, a six furlong winner. The selection though is Diamond Josh. He was a good third at Lingfield in February, beaten only two lengths. That was his first run of the year and he will come on for that, Diamond Josh is the selection.
