          Verdict

          Zhitomir ran better than his sixth place suggested at Wolverhampton last time, only beaten two lengths over nine furlongs and this reversion to seven furlongs may suit. On the other hand Bint Royal was staying on well when third to Mecca¿s Mate at Musselburgh on Tuesday and she is stepping up two furlongs in trip. It may be a little too far for her. Effective ran well in a seven furlong claimer at Lingfield and this is not a big step up in grade-he may run well. The vote though goes to Locombe Hill. He ran well at Musselburgh on Tuesday, helping set up a strong pace before tiring in the closing stages to finish third. He is well drawn, and if allowed to dictate, can lead them home.
