Montjeu Man gets the call over Motaraqeb, with Pinch Of Salt and Kavachi others to consider. The last named is also trained by Ed Dunlop and can be expected to improve on last season's form, but his Montjeu Man is much preferred. The three-year-old only went down by a neck when beaten at Leicester last August, staying on well up the steep finish, and this extra furlong will be very much in his favour. He should have the class to make a winning comeback, with Motaraqeb taken to give him most to do. Sir Michael Stoute's colt cost 160,000gns and shaped with a degree of promise when fifth in the Wood Ditton, so should be kept on the right side for the future. Pinch Of Salt has that bit of experience and hails from a stable doing well at present, while Ahlawy gets another chance to show what he can do after unseating his apprentice pilot at the start on his Kempton debut. With his yard in top form, he must not be under-estimated, but it is Montjeu Man that is the pick.
