A weak maiden which won't take much winning and Cabeza de Vaca is handed the vote ahead of Wondrous Joy, and Captain Clipper with Fisio Therapy an interesting newcomer to note. The selection showed useful form in maidens last year and also shaped as though retaining plenty of ability when a fair third on his seasonal comeback in similar company at Redcar earlier in the month. The Mark Johnston runners have tended to be in need of their first outing the year so the son of Lahib is entitled to improve and looks the one to beat if reproducing his juvenile form. Wondrous Joy has hinted at ability in two starts and is another who is capable of better while Captain Clipper has shown little to date and may do better in handicaps but it would be unwise to rule him out of reaching a place. Fisio Therapy makes some appeal on breeding and wouldn't have to be anything special to figure in an ordinary event.
