Plenty in with chances in a wide open sprint handicap but marginal preference is for Sir Don with Million Percent, Peyto Princess and Marcus Aurelius as the dangers. The selection has already found winning form this season after landing the spoils over a mile here last month and has been far from disgraced in both outings since. The son of Lake Coniston put up a particularly good effort last time when holding every chance in a competitive handicap over seven furlongs at Newcastle last time and this pacey performer shouldn't be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip. The Dandy Nicholls-trained gelding is able to race off the same mark here and has a fair draw in stall 12 so should give another good account. Million Percent hasn't been at his best in two starts this term but is becoming well treated on the pick of his form and this represents a drop in grade so he shouldn't be dismissed from a favourable high draw. In contrast, Bryano de Bergerac and Desraya are likely to struggle from a low draw while Peyto Princess is on a longish losing sequence and disappointed last time. Marcus Aurelius is thrown in on his old form and remains relatively lightly raced so shouldn't be underestimated in a difficult heat.
