    Verdict

This race has cut up a little and can go to Kristensen who comes here in good form and can repel Thewhirlingdervish and Gralmano as the main dangers. The Don Eddy-trained Kristensen has appreciated the step up to this trip of late having been outpaced over shorter and put up a career best effort when chasing home Prairie Falcon over two miles at Ripon last time. The son of Kris S has been raised 3lb since but remains unexposed over this distance and may be capable of a little further improvement. Thewhirlingdervish finished just under five lengths behind the selection last time but that was his first outing of the season and Tim Easterby's charge is entitled to be sharper so may well be able to close the gap on this occasion. Gralmano ran an excellent race to be a close fourth in the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock last week and returns to the level on a fair mark so has to be feared while Prospects of Glory shaped well on his comeback and is another to consider in an interesting event.
