A competitive renewal with last year’s winning trainer, Mick Easterby, saddling the top two in the weights. Tamayuz Magic was second at Ripon last time so is preferred to Purple Rock, who probably needs further. Miningrocks has been in excellent form over 1m2f but struggles to stay much further. Northwest Frontier was beaten over 1m4f at Hamilton last time but that was only his third career start and there is probably more to come from Richard Fahey’s Galileo gelding. KIND OF BEAUTY travelled strongly for a long way at Windsor last time and has been dropped another 2lb since. Hugo Palmer’s filly should be approaching peak fitness now and could be some value in an open-looking handicap ahead of African and recent winners King's Coinage and Hayward Field.
