Kyllachy Star is tough and genuine and will be racing on fast ground for the first time since his second to today's rival Norse Blues in the Spring Mile at Doncaster in March when Mont Ras was a short-head behind. The latter comes out best at the weights and will also be facing his favoured ground for the first time since. Osteopathic Remedy won this last year and can race from a 1lb lower mark. He's on the short-list to complete the double while Corporal Maddox will have a fine chance if staying the extra after his victory over 7f at Ascot. He's never raced at this trip but looked in very good shape a week ago and his rider's claim will be a help. Venutius very nearly defied a 5lb rise for his Haydock success when just touched off by Lockantanks at Ripon though he's up another 5lb while Toto Skyllachy may just be in the grip of the handicapper after his good early season form. WANNABE KING is a decent miler on his day but needs quick ground and he hasn't had much of that for a while. He's now dropped to a winnable mark and from his favoured low draw looks a decent each-way prospect in a tough race to call.
