Kildare Sun's consistency means that he will pick up a race at some point but this looks quite a tough little contest and narrow preference is for FOLLOW THE FLAG. Alan McCabe's gelding comes here on thee back of a narrow defeat over this course and distance when just touched off by Bere Davis. He is wonderfully consistent and although he is yet to win on the turf (four-time all-weather winner), he can gain his first grass success today with plenty in his favour. Grand Diamond should be approaching his peak after two runs this season, whilst Border Owl's run last time hinted at better to come today now encountering quick ground (sole win on good to firm). Cherri Fosfate comes here on the back of a moderate run in a claiming hurdle, but was last seen on the flat winning at Wolverhampton in December. Champain Sands knows how to win here and the ten-year-old needs considering, as does Montiboli who is now 8lb lower than her highest winning mark. This looks to be a tightly-knit handicap with the vote going to Follow The Flag.
