      Verdict

      YEADON gets a confident vote in the opener, ahead of Bow Beaver and Silver in the Sand. Silver in the Sand was quite well supported on debut at Thirsk, but she faded having held every chance, finishing an encouraging sixth. She is bred to be speedy, and normal improvement can see her go well here. Vindication has made a good start as a sire, and his progeny possess plenty of speed. Therefore Howard Johnson's Bow Beaver, whose dam was a half sister to a multiple winner in the States, should be respected. The stable had a juvenile winner at Ayr on Thursday and they are clearly going well. Yeadon hails from the bang in form Richard Fahey camp, and he did not let the side down when running a blinder to be third on debut in a big field at Ripon. The ground was good to soft that day, but hopefully Yeadon will have no problems on this quick surface and can take this.
