This is a wide open affair, with many of the field boasting little recent form of note, but DISTANT VISION can claim this contest at the main expense of Ace of Spies and Hansomis. The last named is still a maiden in over 20 starts, and the handicapper is happy to leave her on the same mark as when she finished a close second recently. She should not be written off. Despite finishing well beaten at Thirsk last time, the handicapper has mysteriously raised Ace of Spies a couple of pounds. However, that recent defeat came over a mile, and he returns to his favoured trip here and can go well. Distant Vision is also a maiden despite having had many chances, but she ran the race of her life at Musselburgh last time to be second in a big field, and she is well drawn. Distant Vision finished well at Musselburgh, and can be seen to good effect on this stiff uphill finish and take this.
