SERIOUS CHOICE shaped well enough on debut to be put forwards ahead of Hellfire Club and Nono Le Sage. The Hobbs runner was held-up from off the pace on his hurdling bow and never threatened to get competitive but he stayed on encouragingly and should know more about the game now. Hellfire Club sets the standard having made the frame in both starts over hurdles but it isn't insurmountable and he's likely to be short enough in the betting. Nono Le Sage has plenty to prove having finished tailed off on all three starts since making a winning debut including when wearing a tongue tie on his latest outing. The market may provide the best guide to his chances. The market should also be useful in assessing the claims of Latest Dream whose yard has enjoyed a decent week and can certainly ready one after an absence. There doesn't appear to be any great strength in depth though and Serious Choice is fancied to take the honours.
