Verdict
SINGAPORE REEF can improve sufficiently from debut to land this contest from Googoobarabajagal and Tarawa Atoll. Nick Williams showed with Pistolet Noir that his runners often derive considerable benefit from their initial experiences so it may not be too wise to read too much into the fact that Singapore Reef was beaten in excess of 20 lengths on debut. He held a relatively prominent position in the market but raced green and finished well held; better is expected. Tarawa Atoll coped with the softer ground well when chasing home a previous winner at Folkestone having fallen on debut and that should have boosted her confidence. Her yard does well with runners in this sphere and she should make her presence felt. Stuart Kittow's runner has run to a similar level of form on both starts and may have found the ground softer than he cared for at Bangor so an eye should be kept on the weather. Coeur Brule has shown ability but only at a modest level and this can go to Singapore Reef.
