In depth

Verdict

Somerset Lias will bid to end a frustrating sequence having finished second off this mark at Exeter and Chepstow recently. But he's still a maiden and may find one too good again in the shape of WELL REWARDED. Emma Lavelle's stable has finally found some form and there is probably more to come from her six-year-old, who will have had plenty of schooling since disappointing at Huntingdon in December. Surging Seas was due to run at Kempton yesterday while Minella Web has his first run since June so To Begin makes more appeal.
