In depth

Verdict

Coach Lane would go close in this on his best form but there have been more poor performances than good of late. Baseball Ted took advantage of a lenient rating to score on his reappearance at Exeter but was then beaten off this mark at Lingfield and has to give 7lb to the more progressive BEDARRA BOY. David Arbuthnot's horses are running well and this five-year-old has improved markedly for the switch to fences. He found Anquetta too strong at Leicester nine days ago but the winner is probably decent and this is arguably less competitive. Cantabilly hasn't been disgraced in a couple of runs over the larger obstacles but may need further than this.
