Quiny Boy ran better off the same mark as today when a close third behind New Rackheath at Wincanton earlier this month and David Pipe's gelding has to be considered but he may struggle to concede weight to OSCAR TRIAL, who is preferred to What Happened. Malcolm Jefferson's gelding showed improved form for racing in a handicap for the first time when successful at Sedgefield earlier this month and he has every chance off an 8lb higher mark today. Bolton Hall has given little sign of encouragement in recent starts either over hurdles or on the flat and of more interest may be Novarra, who has run consistently well since being successful at Ludlow in November. Amazing Request has only been placed once in nine starts over hurdles and is hard to recommend in a race taken to go to Oscar Trial. The nine-year-old improved for the return to hurdling after a couple of starts over fences and, under similar conditions today, he looks worth supporting off just a 5lb higher mark.
