Denmead has been quite highly tried since landing a Wetherby novices' hurdle in March last year and was having only his second start over fences when a close third in a Class 3 handicap at Warwick. Mon Palois made all to beat the only other finisher easily over 2m6f here but was nowhere near that form at Newton Abbot next time. Francky Du Berlais returned from a long break to land a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot last month and looks well handicapped over fences but this could revolve around the fitness of EVERLANES. Keiran Burke's mare won two of her three runs over fences at the beginning of the year and looks the type who can go on to better things.
