    Verdict

    Already successful in a point-to-point and a bumper, ALPHA CARINAE made a winning star over hurdles at Perth when beating Proper Ticket, who had won her two previous outings. She is sure to make a bold bid to extend her unbeaten record but won’t find it easy giving 6lb to Aggy With It, who ran her best race to date when second over 2m here last month, though she tries this trip for the first time. Dame De Ruban is having a first run for new connections and caries a penalty having won a Limerick maiden in June. Bourbon Beauty makes her hurdling debut but did have some fair placed form in bumpers.
