Though TOTTERDOWN is jumping fences late in life he goes well fresh and he never took any prisoners over hurdles. If the obstacles don’t get in the way, he might be some value to run the finish out of younger rivals. Pic D'Orhy was the highest rated of these over smaller obstacles, winning the Betfair Hurdle in February. He could develop into a smart novice and Le Patriote was also a Grade 3 winner over timber. Notre Pari was also useful over hurdles but would have preferred some more give in the ground.

Pic D'Orhy (FR) 33-1 (11-5) Mid-division, headway chasing leaders 3 out, travelling well before next, left in 2nd at the last, stayed on under pressure run-in to lead towards finish, won at Newbury 2m hcp (1) gd in Feb beating Ciel De Neige (10-8) by 3/4l, 24 ran.
Totterdown 7-2 (11-9) Led and soon clear, reduced lead 2 out, wandered and headed before the last, weakened run-in, 3rd of 11, 9 1/4l behind Mill Green (11-1) at Sandown 2m hcp (2) sft in Jan.
