Verdict

Stradivarius wasn’t at his brilliant best in a slowly-run Arc last time but won this in 2018 and was beaten only a nose last year by Kew Gardens. Aidan O’Brien runs three this time though Dawn Patrol has done his winning on faster ground and a chance is taken BROOME stays this far. The latter finished behind Stradivarius over 1m4f in the Coronation Cup in June but that was his first outing for nearly a year and he easily beat another Ballydoyle runner in Sovereign in a Group 3 contest in soft ground at Leopardstown last season. The latter finished behind Search For A Song when Dermot Weld’s filly beat Fujaira Prince in last month’s Irish St Leger and she has every chance if handling the going while the ground is also a worry for Doncaster Cup winner Spanish Mission though he’s still preferred to stablemate Morando. Better was expected from Max Vega in a Group 2 in France last time and the remainder face even tougher tasks.
