Liam Corcoran's Nothing Is Forever has a 7lb penalty to carry for his win at Newton Abbot earlier this month and that may prevent him from following up that success and more solid claims are held by Domino Dancer. Jim Best's gelding stayed on well when successful at Worcester when last seen over hurdles in June and he has every chance judged by that run but is 14lb higher in the weights now and, despite having shown winning form in a seller on the flat since then, he looks worth taking on. Jennie Candlish's Basford Tara is feasibly well treated for his handicap debut and cannot be discounted, while Lodgician is better than he showed at Perth last time and does represent the in-form yard of Nigel Twiston-Davies. Several of these have claims but it might just be worth giving another chance to Tim Vaughan's JOSEPHINE MALINES, who has run creditably behind Dunaskin in sellers at Hexham and Cartmel in her last two outings and she could be good enough in a handicap today off what seems a fair mark.
