Martin Pipe holds the key to the finale, saddling two fancied runners in Mr Tee Pee and Forty Acers, with the vote going to the latter. The market should be watched as to the chance of the rest, including Mister Zaffaran and Magical Legend, especially as the last named figured in a decent Aintree bumper in April, but she was tailed off then and may take time to get her act together. Back to the Pipe duo though, and on jockey bookings it would appear that Forty Acers is the one to be on, with Tom Malone in the saddle. Bought at the Doncaster May Sales for 36,000gns, the son of Bob Back is sure to have been well schooled for his debut under rules. Mr Tee Pee won a point over two-and-a-half miles in April and may therefore find this on the short side, but he too should be placed to good effect in due course. As stated, the betting should go a long way in helping determine the outcome with little to go on, but our tentative vote goes to Forty Acers.
