Free Gift has been in good form of late winning his last two starts but a 6lb rise for the latest of them at Bangor means that the Alner's runner has to race off a mark of 121 now and that may prevent the 11-year-old from completing a hat-trick with a better bet looking to be WAR OF THE WORLD, who is preferred to Tempsford. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding was pushed out to win by half-a-length at Market Rasen last month and was probably value for more than that so he cannot be discounted with the yard's runners continuing in good form racing off just a 6lb higher mark today. Neil Mulholland's Winsley Hill was another to win last time having been successful at Worcester last month and a 4lb rise for that seems perfectly fair so he is another to consider. Passato has been showing a consistent level of form of late and should again be thereabouts but he may just be a shade high in the weights. Prophete de Guye is closely matched with Free Gift on their running at Bangor in July and he is another worthy of a mention but for the vote we side with War Of The World. Tim Vaughan has a fantastic record with other trainer's cast offs and the Irish import may be worth chancing on his first start for his new handler.
